Dusk is a very special time at Agung Bali Nirwana. The cool of the evening rolls in off the ocean. The swallows dive around the pools, the bats around the pool area lights. The frogs (varieties specially chosen for their song - really!) serenade you.

You can see lights glowing in the grounds. These are real candelabras (using real candles). You can also just make out the first of the fishing boats with their kerosene lamps, that come out at night and make such a picturesque backdrop from our beach-front restaurant.

Flood lights pointing down and seaward from up in the palm trees, even allow you to enjoy the beach area in safety at night. This photo was taken in August 2002, just before the grounds were finally finished / lush and green / the outdoor furniture put out.
