agung bali nirwana's "Ganesha Restaurant"

Ganesha RestaurantOur small beachfront "Ganesha Restaurant" (named after the Hindu divinity) and bar gives guests a chance to eat away from the villas if they wish to. Directly above and next to the beach, here guests are able to enjoy watching and listening to the waves below, the candle like bobbing kerosene lamps of the fishing boats out to sea, and maybe watch the sky turn red and purple at sunset with an ice cold drink. We offer some of the finest food in Bali here, an extensive drinks list.

Restaurant TableThe restaurant is separated from the rest of the grounds by palms, bougainvillea and other tropical plants. So people from outside who visit the restaurant will not be able to see well into the villa grounds. Also, if all three villas are rented by the same guests. We will happily close the restaurant to outside trade for the duration of their stay. So Agung Bali Nirwana can truly be called "private vacation villas". And of course, it is right on the beach as you can see!

Whether you eat at the sea front, thatched roof restaurant or in the privacy of your own Bale (pavillion in front of each villa) the food is second to none. We have imported only the very best equipment to ensure our staff can deliver you the highest standards and quality. Our staff is trained to make your dining experience as pleasant as possible.

Our menu is mostly Thai, Indonesian, and European, with some local dishes. Our philosophy regarding food is simple. We will only ever use the best, freshest ingredients and maintain the very highest standards. We will never, repeat never use items such as MSG and / or artificial colorings / flavorings. Our chefs / food preparation staff have to wear hats / hair nets in the kitchen. If a dish requires certain ingredients and we do not have all of the ingredients and enough of them, we do not offer that dish. The kitchen is screened, has fans and electronic fly killers. If any food falls onto the floor, that food must be thrown away. We would never fire any staff member for dropping a steak, but we would be mighty upset with them if they then served it to a guest.

We offer special barbecue's (require 24 hour advance notice) for guests to enjoy next to their own Bale. Our fish comes from the small fishing village just past the village (Hindu) temple next door to our villas (we provide them with an ice chest to ensure the fish are kept fresh). Our meat, eggs and much of our fruit comes from the local village. The rest we have delivered from the mountain markets and collect imported items from the south ourselves. We make every effort to ensure you get only the very best!

restaurant view from front We are located in one of the most remote areas of Bali and our staff are local. But we have high expectations of them. We strive to take extra steps beyond the run-of-the-mill wherever possible. Many said it would be impossible to build luxury accommodations and free from chemicals in such a remote area. We proved them wrong. They also said our pure water swimming pool would never work. But it does, and so spectacularly well too. (When was the last time you swam in a pool without needing to wear goggles so that your eyes wouldn't burn from the chlorine?)
