This is a view from one of the villas' living rooms / lounges looking
over to the kitchen. The display cabinet with rounded column tops you
can see is full of the finest examples of Balinese, Lombok and Javanese
fabrics, carvings and silverware. In here you will find both Double "Ikat"
(AKA "Gringsing") and Single Ikat, Lombok Songket, Javanese
Silk, finest Javanese Batik, silver from Celuk and Singaraja in Bali,
plus some very fine wood carvings. Just out of view is a painting in
each villa of the top "Young Artists" of Penestanan, near Ubud, I Ketut Soki.
Just past the real candle candelabra, is the
western standard kitchen with large refrigerator, water cooler (we supply
all the complimentary spring drinking water you can drink), double sink,
microwave, gas hobs, electric kettle, blender with coffee bean grinder
attachment (yes, we supply you with coffee beans too, and tea bags), rice
/ vegetable steamer, coffee maker (filter / drip), cafetieres (plunger
coffee makers), jaffle (toasted sandwich) maker, plates, cups, cutlery,
and even beer "condoms" (insulated beer bottle holders to keep
your favorite brew cold). The water from the tap / faucet, like all the
water in the villas, comes via a 3 stage filtration system including UV
(Ultra Violet). So it is safe even to drink. Just over each sink hangs a
wood carving from one of Bali's top carvers (I Bagus Tantra of Mas).
What you can't see in this picture, but would if you were sitting
on the oversized couch, is a teak TV / Audio cabinet packed with top of
the range equipment and full service satellite TV (includes CNN, Discovery,
MTV, several English language movie channels, other language channels,
sports channels, etc.), plus multiplay VCD / DVD / CD player. We even
have provided 4 pairs of top of the line Sennheiser cordless headsets.
So you can turn the volume up without disturbing your neighbours, and
/ or listen to the news / music while drinking your morning coffee in
your villa's own "bale" (outdoor, open dining pavilion). To see a 360 degree virtual tour of the lounges and kitchens
please check out our virtual tours page.
