Deposit / Payment Information & Cancellation Terms
NOTE: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
To secure/confirm any reservation a minimum 50% of the reservation value (including tax, but excluding optional service charge) must be received by us by wire transfer or by Paypal - there are no exceptions to this condition, sorry. We will notify you of the bank / Paypal details by return email/fax if we can accommodate you, together with a summary of the charges, etc. You will need to pay all your bank charges yourselves. We are happy to pay our bank charges for receiving the money.
If we can accommodate you, we will require you to confirm if you wish to proceed with the reservation before we provisionally reserve a villa / villas for you. We can not accept any responsibility nor liability for any delay in your reply affecting the then availability. Once we have received your confirmation, we will reply and if there is still availability, we will hold that reservation for 2 days. You will then immediately need to wire the deposit to us, and notify us of this. When we receive your wire advisory (providing it is within the 2 days or if we still have availability if after the 2 days), we will then hold your reservation for a further 5 days to allow time for your deposit to arrive. Providing it arrives within those 5 days, we will then advise you of a secured / guaranteed reservation in your name. If it arrives after the 5 days, we will either confirm a secured / guaranteed reservation to you, or refund the money in full (minus bank fees) if we have subsequently released your reservation and booked in someone else. Once you have the secured / guaranteed reservation, we will not release that villa / those villas to anyone else unless you cancel.
If you cancel, any deposit received by us shall be forfeited (therefore, please make sure you have adequate travel insurance to get this back from your insurer). The 50% deposit is non-refundable.
The balance will be payable upon check out of the villas in either a hard currency (such as US dollars, Australian dollars, Euros, Pounds Sterling - please note, we are only be able to accept newer bills), in the local Indonesian Rupiah, or credit cards (Visa / MastrCard; please note that there is a 3% additional charge if credit cards are used, this fee is what the bank charges us for credit card transactions, and you will find it wherever on Bali that you use your credit card for payment). We also accept travelers cheques/checks, but only in US dollars.
Guests who stay for the duration of their booking will be deemed as being liable for the payment of their stay. In addition to the balance of the accommodation charges, guests will also need to account for any food, beverage, spa, tour, etc. charges they accrue while staying at Agung Bali Nirwana. Also, we encourage guests to pay 10% of the total cost to our staff directly if they have done a great job. This is not mandatory, but expected. If they only do a reasonable job for you, then 5% is acceptable. If they do a bad job, then you should decline to pay any service charge.
PLEASE NOTE: Part Cancellations (shortening your stay) - We are able to keep our rates down only by having high occupancy rates (which is our responsibility of course, and we have been very lucky at this despite the tourism woes of Bali). Because we often have to turn other potential guests away due to pre-existing bookings, it is not fair or reasonable for us when people arrive and then inform us they have decided to cut short their stay at our villas for no good reason. If you wish to cut short your stay and do not advise us until you are at the villas, unless the reason is a clear problem with what we provide you (over what we have promised), we will expect the security deposit to be applied to the days you wish to cancel, not to the days you end up staying. As we are not a hotel and nowhere near (thank goodness) mass tourism areas with the potential for walk in business, we hope you understand. |
